| ASEAN ParaGames held at Solo Indonesia |
Vice President Boediono officially opened the ASEAN ParaGames (APG) VI 2011 in Manahan Stadium Solo, Thursday, December 15, 2011 night.
The procession was marked by the opening of the torch flame ignition by Memet Lesmana, disabled athletes winning gold medals in Paralympic sports run in 1988 in the United States.
The series begins with the opening procession of the launch of the logo and mascot of APG, Modo and Modi. After that event continued with a contingent parade of 11 athletes participating countries.

Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) Rita Subowo said in her speech, Solo chosen to host the ASEAN ParaGames since Solo had been host of the PON (Week of National Games) first time in Indonesia.
"In addition, Solo is also host the first time of ParaGames in Indonesia," she said.
The success of the implementation of APG in Solo will advance the development of the region itself. In addition, the objectives of the APG is to strengthen relations between ASEAN member countries.
Meanwhile, Minister of Youth and Sports, Andi Mallarangeng said that Solo is ready APG title with the best. "Solo society are excited to welcome this. Society Solo also look very proud," he said.
