There should be no punk kids in Aceh. The Mohawk-haired punker forcibly shaved, piercings removed. Not only that, they also have to undergo military training.
Started from the punk music concert in Banda Aceh Cultural Park, suspected not bagging permit, last weekend. From there netted as many as 65 punk children from Banda Aceh, Lhokseumawe, Tamiang, Takengon, North Sumatra, Lampung, Palembang, Jambi, Batam, Riau, West Sumatra, Jakarta and West Java.
Aceh Government raids carried out in cooperation with Aceh Police. The punker then scouted in Aceh at the State Police School Seulawah. Coaching for 10 days it aims to change lifestyle and appearance of punk kids who considered contrary to the norms and disturbing the application of Islamic law in the city of Banda Aceh.
Formation reaction it got from the civil rights activist in Aceh. Catching punk kids rated disability law and is considered an over-reactive.
"On what basis they were held and nurtured by military means, why not in social institutions or other institutions only. Our constitution guarantees freedom of expression so far does not violate the existing rules," said Coordinator of the Commission and domestic violence, missing persons (Kontras) Aceh, Hendra Fadli, Thursday, December 15, 2011.
Hendra said, if indeed the concert would be some punk kids who break the law, then only a few are arrested. Coaching with no pretext at all fundamental Shari'a.
"If it was proven to exist in violation of the law such as using drugs or violating Shari'a law, then it should only individual who was arrested is not everybody," he said.
Kontras with other agencies will conduct advocacy efforts towards the punk kids who caught it. He also urged the National Commission for Child Protection to investigate these arrests.
"National Commission for Child Protection should investigate whether there are minors who were arrested and brought up with such military means. Therefore violating the rights of children," he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor of Banda Aceh, Illiza Sa'aduddin Djamal said, policing punk kids because they considered disturbing and affecting young people in Banda Aceh to follow their lifestyle.
"This is to minimize the false teachings and behavior that deviates from the norm and religion. If we leave, their behavior will affect the younger generation of Aceh, "he said.
